Sri Rama Navami
Sri Rama Navami falls on April 6, 2025. This is a major festival in many parts of the world. Some regions (e.g., Telangana and Andhra, among others) also perform a grand Kalyanam (marriage of the Lord with Sita maataa) on the day. The traditional festivities have gained further impetus with the new Temple in Ayodhya.

Hindu Temple at St. John’s has always celebrated the festival with special bhajans. Beginning 2008 (thanks to Mrs. Saraswathy Katna and many other volunteers), whenever possible, we have extended it with serving Maha Prasad.
This year we will continue the same with chanting the 108 names of Lord Rama along with special mantras and verses. We encourage everyone to participate and chant the names together. This will be followed by singing bhajans and a special Arati. A (light) maha prasad will be served.
